Each press draws a 32-bit seed from the site's cryptographically secure randomness and unfolds the design from it: a field division (plain, per pale, per fess, quarterly, per bend, or per chevron), tinctures from the real palette of two metals and five colours, then an ordinary or a set of charges -- ten emblems from the mullet to the tower, placed one, two in pale, or three two-and-one. The rule of tincture is enforced throughout: metal never sits on metal, colour never on colour, which is why every shield stays readable at a glance, exactly as the medieval rule intended.
The italic line is the blazon -- the formal heraldic description of the shield, written field first, then whatever lies on it. "Per pale azure and or, three mullets gules" means a shield split vertically blue and gold, carrying three red stars. A herald could redraw the shield from that sentence alone.
