This generator draws from 100 explorers across Age of Sail, Polar, Mountains & Interiors, Ocean & Underwater, and Modern & Extreme -- each with their nationality, date, and achievement, including the ones history has complicated and the ones it credited far too late, like Matthew Henson at the North Pole.
Every result here is drawn using crypto.getRandomValues() -- the Web Crypto API's cryptographically secure randomness -- instead of Math.random(), so it's genuinely unpredictable, not just statistically random. Learn more.
