This generator draws from 60 riddles grouped by style -- Easy, Classic, Tricky, Wordplay, and What Am I? -- each with its answer hidden until you choose to reveal it.

Every result here is drawn using crypto.getRandomValues() -- the Web Crypto API's cryptographically secure randomness -- instead of Math.random(), so it's genuinely unpredictable, not just statistically random. Learn more.

How it works

Generate draws one riddle at random from the pool using the site's cryptographically secure randomness, guaranteed not to repeat whatever result is currently showing. The answer stays hidden behind a button until you press Reveal. Filtering by style narrows the pool before drawing.

How do I see the answer?

Press the Reveal answer button under the riddle. Each new riddle hides the answer again until you reveal it.

Can I filter by difficulty or style?

Yes -- use the filter button to pick one or more of the five styles (Easy, Classic, Tricky, Wordplay, What Am I?). Generate will then only draw from the ones you've selected.

Will it show me the same riddle twice in a row?

No -- each new roll is guaranteed to differ from the one currently on screen.

Are these suitable for kids?

Yes -- all 60 are clean, and the Easy category is well suited to younger players.
