Generate a random starting weapon to equip a new character with, from standard gear to something more unusual.
This generator draws from 65 tabletop RPG starting weapons across three rarity tiers -- Common, Uncommon, and Exotic -- from standard-issue gear to something a bit more unusual to hand a new character.
Every result here is drawn using crypto.getRandomValues() -- the Web Crypto API's cryptographically secure randomness -- instead of Math.random(), so it's genuinely unpredictable, not just statistically random. Learn more.
Tabletop RPG players use it to equip a new character without defaulting to the same sword every time. It's one of nine Fantasy generators that together make up the D&D Character preset, which rolls a complete character in one go.
Generate draws one weapon at random from the full 65-entry pool using the site's cryptographically secure randomness, guaranteed not to repeat whatever result is currently showing in single-result mode. Filtering by rarity tier narrows the pool before drawing.

Common covers standard-issue weapons most settings support, Uncommon covers less typical options, and Exotic covers weapons built for a more unusual character.
